Customized Birthday Party Invitations with Shutterfly

When I started planning the boy’s join birthday party, I knew I wanted customized invitations. Thank you Shutterfly for providing the invites for this post! Ever since they were born on the same day, I’ve been trying to find ways to make sure we celebrate them individually on their birthday. Even though they were having a “joint” party, I split it up into two events- Sawyer’s Dino Party and Oliver’s Cake Smash. This way, we weren’t asking our family and friends to come out to two separate events, but they each had some time to be celebrated individually.

So, I sent two separate birthday party invitations, along with a little note explaining how the day would go. Shutterfly made this so easy!

The Best Chicco Baby Gear

There is so much out there in terms of baby gear . It’s overwhelming! I remember when I was pregnant with Sawyer (my oldest), my husband and I went into Babies R’ Us (RIP) to start our registry. We walked out confused, defeated, angry, and frustrated. My husband and I aren’t big “fighters” and we fought the whole time we were in there! It was just so overwhelming! Which Pack n’ Play did we need? What stroller would fit our carseat? Which carseat was safest? Do babies really need their own nail clippers? Do we really need special washcloths? And on and on. It was a bad day.

SeaQuest Littleton Review

UPDATE: Since originally writing this post it has come to my attention that SeaQuest Littleton has failed 2 animal welfare inspections in a row. I did not see anything concerning firsthand during my visit, but the public data released since then does not lie. SeaQuest has not been offering any refunds to passholders with concerns about this issue either. Because of this, I can no longer in good conscience recommend you visit this aquarium. You can read all about the failed welfare inspections for yourself here.

I was so excited when I first heard that Colorado was getting a SeaQuest! We’ve been in need of a few more educational activities in the area and this seemed like the perfect addition.

SeaQuest is a chain of interactive aquariums making it’s way across the US! So far they have locations in Utah, Nevada, Texas, California, and now Colorado, with many more locations coming!

Oliver is about to turn one and I can’t believe how fast this year has flown by. I am completely unprepared and overwhelmed by the idea of his first birthday.

Right now, he is in my absolute favorite infant stage. 9-12 months. It’s when they’re still “baby” enough to need you. They still like to cuddle. They still want to be rocked to sleep. They still nurse or drink from a bottle. But, they’re getting old enough to where they wave, dance, clap, interact, play, and maybe babble a few words. They’re interactive and fun but still cuddly babies.
