    Spaghetti Squash 2 Ways

    I try my hardest to live a healthy lifestyle and eat as clean as possible. But I’m not hard on myself. I give myself grace. I let myself eat the donut every once in a while, and when I’m out on a date with my husband, or out to eat with friends, I order whatever I want.

    Because I don’t want to limit myself in life. I don’t always want to feel deprived. I love the way I feel when I’m nourishing my body and working out regularly. My body rewards me for it. I’m not a size 0 anymore but I’m comfortable in my skin and I’m healthy! I don’t want to be the one eating a salad and a fruit cup every time I go out with my friends. Those are special occasions, and I should be able to treat myself. If I went out with my friends 3 times a week, ordering whatever I wanted wouldn’t be so smart. But if it’s every once in a while, I want to enjoy myself. And I should!

    It’s all about finding your balance. Whatever that means to you.

    Toddlerhood is had, y’all. Toddlers are not for the faint of heart. There’s lots of tantrums, messes, and dirty diapers. It’s hard on you and your little one! Everyone always complains about the terrible twos and the threenagers. As soon as Sawyer turned one, I knew I was in for it! He knows exactly how to get what he wants and how to react when he doesn’t. He’s smart. Too smart.

    But, I think I found a few tips and tricks to make toddlerhood a little easier. In fact, I even put together a toddler survival kit. I mentioned to my mama friend that I was going to make one of these, and she laughed out loud, then paused, then asked if I could make one for her too! Ha! I think we’ll all try just about anything if it might make this motherhood thing a little bit easier! Don’t worry, I’m going to share it with you, too.

    I have such a treat for you guys today! I have been making these protein balls forever! They’re always a hit, and people are constantly asking for the recipe. I played around with it a bit in the last few months since we’ve gone paleo, and I think I finally perfected it! I’m so excited to share it today.

    Finding something that tastes good and is also good for you can be so hard. I’m really picky, and it’s not often that I actually enjoy and feel satisfied by something that is clean. Eating clean is a big sacrifice for me, because I feel sometimes it means giving up good tastes and flavors. Since I’m so picky, I tend to stick with things that are more bland in the first place. And then to add in eating clean can make eating kind of dull. So, I try to create my own recipes whenever I can and play with flavors!

    Life gets crazy and sometimes I need a pick me up. But I want that pick me up to be sweet, I also want it to be good for me. But, it still has to taste good. I want it to give me energy, and I don’t want to spend a ton of time making it, nor do I want to do a ton of dishes afterwards.

    Sawyer Street- Sawyer’s 1st Birthday Party!

    I feel like I’m so late in getting this up but life has just been crazy lately! Planning this party was so fun and I got to work with some awesome businesses and shops as well! I gave myself about 2 months to plan the party and that ended up being plenty. I did a lot of it myself and couldn’t be more please with how it turned out!

    We had the party on a Wednesday afternoon which was kind of a bummer. We originally had it planned for that Saturday but Krutis’ request off at work got denied! And his schedule for the month was already set in stone at that point so we just had to go with a day he did have off that also didn’t interfere with our family vacation and Wednesday was the only day that worked. So, unfortunately, a lot of people couldn’t make it, but we ended saving lots of money on food! Ha. We also held the party almost 2 weeks before his actual birthday because we were going to be on vacation for his actual birthday!

    Spice up your Meal Prep!

    Hey everyone! I know it’s been a while. We had the best time on vacation! And while I love my work here, it’s good to take a break. If blogging is going to be my job, then I need a vacation from it too!

    But I have so much to share now that I’m back and I can’t wait to get started. I”m starting off by sharing some of my meal prep tricks!

    If you follow me on snapchat (@katielovelyy) you probably see me meal prepping every Monday. It’s a whole ordeal but it makes the rest of the week so much easier! I still follow a mostly paleo diet (80/20) and  meal prep makes it easier to stick to. Kurtis, however, doesn’t follow paleo as strictly but does like to eat well. So I meal prep for both of us.
